1. Determine the value of your property. Our valuer Carl King will go through the current market trends and give you an accurate value that you can expect to sell your property for. This will enable you to plan your onward move and help you narrow your search.

  2. Make any necessary repairs or improvements. Before you put your property on the market we may advise of any necessary repairs or improvements. First impressions count and it’s important to portray your property in its best light. This will help your property stand out to potential buyers and may even help you sell it for more money.

  3. Choose the right estate agent. A good estate agent can make the process of selling your property much easier and help you to achieve a maximum return. At Alex Jones we have a great track record of success and will help you at every step of the way.

  4. Choose the right solicitor. Picking the right solicitor is just as important as picking the right estate agent. Choosing the wrong solicitor can be incredibly frustrating and could even cost you your sale/purchase, not to mention time and money. At Alex Jones we have strong relationships with solicitors that we have used for many years so you can rest assured that you are in safe hands. It is also important to select a solicitor early in the process in order to speed things up.

  5. Market your property effectively. At Alex Jones we use a professional photographer who takes lots of angles to make sure that your property is marketed in the best way possible. We also offer FREE video walkthroughs and get your property seen in the right places. That means Rightmove and on our social channels which are becoming increasingly important in the world we live in. Check out our Instagram and Facebook pages to see how our content can propel your property and make you stand out from the rest.

  6. Negotiate the sale. We negotiate effectively on your behalf to ensure that you maximise on your investment. With expert advice and unrivalled market knowledge we will ensure that your sale is handled in an efficient manner.

  7. Offer acceptance and sales progression. Once you've reached an agreement with the buyer we’ll need to complete the sale. At this point we would monitor your progress through yourself and your solicitor as you carry on down the path to completion. Surveys/searches/solicitors forms are all important steps to complete before an exchange and completion date can be agreed by all parties. The sales process usually takes on average around 12 weeks but can be quicker or longer depending on the circumstances. Be sure to keep in touch with your solicitor and ourselves as open lines of communication are the most important thing to enable a sale to complete as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  8. Completion. On completion day you will get a call from the solicitors to say that funds have been transferred - CONGRATULATIONS you have sold your property. The last step is to drop the keys at our office and receive a little gift from us. We will then take care of releasing the keys to your buyer.
